Did you know that there are 3 Different types of drainage systems?
#1 French Drain with Basins:
A French drain with basins is the most common type of drain and is used for catching water from heavy rains and funnling it away from your house! This system uses pipe and basins and rock to help funnel the water in the right direction. Locations for these drains are usually in your front or back yards, and side yards.
#2 Trench Drain
A trench drain is a trench that has been dug, and back filled with rock. The purpose is to catch the water and then give it time to dissipate. Locations for these drains are usually in your front or back yards, and side yards.
#3 Pipe Drain
A solid pipe drain with basins. The difference between the French drain and the pipe drain is that the trench doesn't collect water, the basins do. ​
Additional Option - Sump Pump
A sump pump system added to the end of the line in a french drain or a pipe drain scenario. This is the fastest way to displace a LOT of water from an area that quickly floods and is crucial in areas where where can not shed due to the land grade.
